These pieces on lucite and glass are fantastical option in designing home & interior spaces. I’ve been making a new line of paintings that takes wall decor to a new level. Well, a slightly more three-dimensional level…so really, that’s not all new to the world. Well it’s new for my studio, and I’ve worked with several private clients over the years to imaging up a sea scape that fits for their home and their aesthetic.
I’m investigating into making more of these kinds of works inspired by our planets precious biodiversity. Next year, the ECA in Easthampton, MA will allow me to install a show of all new pieces on glass and lucite inspired by the beauty of all that is light, vibrant, and living on this delicate planet.
Unfortunately the below paintings are captured in these very blurry picture. These paintings were installed out of the area from where I’m located. This newly installed wall piece with a flying green sea turtle measures 3′ x 6′ and is a resin layered painting of a Hawaiian coral reef scene. I’m looking forward to being able to get better images of this incredibly rewarding piece that celebrates some of the owners favorite reef dwellers, from moray eels to moorish idols.
