Bear arms

I’m doing this commission of one of our local black bears for a very nice sir in Northampton, MA. It’s not yet done, so actually I don’t even think this is a good image. However, In the back of my mind while I work on this bear friend, I know it’s hunting season in many places, and I see the furry natives more often these days in the fields, or bodies on the sides of the road. It’s just that my heart breaks a little for our local animal residents and I wish there were more I could do.  But almost every time I try to take it into my own hands, it seem to usher in death.

For now I started a little Go Fund Me to help out a woman who rescues baby critters.  I mean I think it’s just helpful to hand over these little guys to people who have made it their life to know what these animals need.  So I would like to help her out.

Please consider donating a little to this cause, or even just making your own cause for your area. 🙂
