Painting in progress for Hope and Feathers show opening August 1

Well, I’ve taken on a challenge for myself to produce a set of 14 paintings (give or take) for Hope & Feathers in one month.  Here is the first one started today.  The gallery wanted to see a different theme of paintings.  They were so kind about the idea and understood if that was impossible to do.  But a little self-induced stress is such a source of creative energy for me.  It’s good to set up friendly challenges to add new ideas to painting for me.

I hope some of you can make it to the show.  It opens August 1, 2013 in Amherst, Ma at 5pm.  Please join me and friends for a show of brand new paintings done in a month.
