Miquel Gelabert

Truly, to be pursuing a life as an artist, you must always be looking and watching the works of other artists. Miquel talks of this in his artist statement.

I think it’s hard to describe what one is making in paint, much is lost in the translation to language. But the inspiration, for me, is the way light bends across a surface, the way colors work with or against one another, the suggestion of memory, history, place, and feeling in a glance.

The works of Miquel just stirred me today to think of a new way to inform my own work, and I want to share a glance at this artists` perspective.
